March 13 Gotcha Day

This morning started with breakfast at the hotel restaurant, western food buffet. Our adoption group met at 9:30am in the meeting room of the hotel to get our babies. The babies had about a 3 hour ride from the orphanage to the hotel. Our family name was called and Tina was handed Delaney. She was crying as was all the other babies, it took a little while for her to calm down. Delaney’s nanny was present and kept coming over and taking Delaney. We did not say anything since we knew how attached these people can get with the babies. After filling out more paperwork we took Delaney to the room, fed her Cheerios and formula. She appears to be a good eater. Tina gave Delaney a bath and attempted to give her the rest of the formula. Delaney was falling asleep while trying drinking the formula. We put her down for the afternoon, what a big day for all of us..
